Oggie Grip's product line includes Two distinctive products: Oggie Stick Grips and Sticky Grip Foam.
The Oggie Stick Grips are sold in two sizes for Junior and Senior hockey sticks.
Ice, Street, and In-line hockey players insert the Oggie Ergo grips into composite hockey sticks and hold them in place with hot melt glue just like an Butt end plug.
In addition to the Oggie Grip Ergo a second product aptly named Sticky Grip Foam is offered. Sticky Grip Foam is used on traditional wooden sticks in conjunction with cloth tape when taping a grip. Instead of players utilizing hockey tape and rolling the tape into a piping to provide a base for the grip, players can utilize Sticky Grip Foam as the base. This will provide a more uniform, softer, and more comfortable grip base than tape alone. Players can also cut Sticky Grip Foam into custom shapes to provide a grip specifically tailored to their needs.
Oggie’s innovative product line started out when the inventor, Joseph Casasanta was first introduced to the newer style hollow aluminum sticks introduced in the early 1980’s. He always envisioned playing with a grip that was more comfortable than tape or those early slide over style grips. Something that had a soft, comfortable, rubbery feel, but also had similar dimensions to the stick shaft itself. That’s where the union between Oggie’s grip and newer style hollow aluminum and composite shaft sticks was a match made in heaven.

Oggie makes a hi-tech grip specifically TO FIT COMFORTABLY IN YOUR HAND. You insert the Ergo Composite Hockey Stick End-Plug into hollow composite hockey sticks with supplied hot melt glue, just like a replacement wood end plug.

When a player cuts his/her stick, the flex within the stick will be changed, making the stick stiffer than its original flex. By utilizing an Oggie Grip, the flex will be built back into the stick. Oggie Grips not only put the flex back into the stick, but they also enhance the flex, potentially helping your shot. The proper flex within Oggie Grips is achieved by the use of grooves that run down both sides of the grip as well as the composite material. This is NOT a kick point which is typically found near the blade of the stick, but a flex that properly arcs out the curve within a stick shaft when a shot is taken. Tape over stick and grip foam with tape of your choice. Works best with cloth tapes (tape not included).

Stick is now ready for use! The longer you use it, the better it will take the form of the shapes.

What is Sticky Grip Foam?
If you are the type of player that likes to twist your tape around into a piping to create your grip, you will love Sticky Grip Foam. You get an 21.5 x 28cm sheet of Sticky Grip Foam, enough to make approximately 3 stick grips. You arrange the various die-cut shapes of the Sticky Grip Foam into your preferred pattern on the top of your stick, then tape over. You get a cushioned grip that feels more secure compared to the hardness of the twisted tape. |
